Bottom Line — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Bottom Line is different from our other extensions: it has a server. This page says exactly what that server holds, why it holds it, and how to have it deleted.

The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

How access is granted

You connect your shop through Etsy's own OAuth consent screen, on Etsy's website. Etsy shows you what access is being requested and you approve or decline it there. Bottom Line never sees or asks for your Etsy password. What it receives is an access token — a credential, issued by Etsy, that lets it read your shop's data on your behalf.

What it reads

Your own shop's data, through Etsy's official API: your shop details, your listings, and your receipts — the orders, the amounts the buyer paid, and the fees Etsy charged on them. That is what a profit calculation needs, and it is the extent of what is read.

What is stored on the server, and why

Etsy's API limits how often an app may call it, so Bottom Line cannot fetch your data live every time you open it. Instead the server stores:

What is never collected

Your Etsy password, your browsing history, the contents of any web page, or data from any shop other than the one you connected. There are no analytics and no advertising trackers.

Disconnecting and deleting your data

You can disconnect your shop at any time, and disconnecting deletes the stored data — the access token and the shop, listing and receipt data held for your account. You can also revoke Bottom Line's access from your Etsy account's security settings, which invalidates the token on Etsy's side. Either route, or an email to us, gets the stored data removed.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record. We never see your card details.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Bottom Line will never start collecting something this page says it does not collect without that change being published here first.
